Assignment Notebooks and Folders: Grades K-2 receive heavy duty Link School folders to easily transport school work and notices between school and home. The PTA provides students in grades 3-6 with assignment notebooks with the Link School logo to help them learn organizational skills.
Birthday Book Club: We celebrate learning and your child by gifting them with a book from the birthday book cart during their birthday month. Children with summer birthdays will receive their book in the month of their half birthday.
Book Fair: We provide opportunities for you to purchase quality reading materials for your child at our semi-annual book fairs in conjunction with parent-teacher conferences and Celebrate Learning night.
Family Math Night: The school offers this opportunity for children to show their parents how they learn about math.
Hot Lunch: We coordinate weekly hot lunch opportunities for Grades 1-6. Meals are obtained from local restaurants. For the Monday pizza schedule and order form, or Wednesday schedule and order form, please click here.
Reading Incentive Program: To help promote a lifelong love of reading, we partner with local business to provide monthly prizes and recognition to students who meet reading goals. Partners include Elk Grove Bowl, GameWorks, Hippos, Lou Malnati's, Magic Waters, Pizza Hut, Orbit Skating Rink, Outback Steakhouse, Pilot Pete's, Pope's Pizzeria, Putting Edge, Rainforest Café, Schaumburg Flyers, and Six Flags Great America. PTA also rewards the children with books.
Recess Equipment: The PTA coordinates with teachers to supply and replenish playground toys and equipment for the children to enjoy at recess.
Reflections: This program offers children an opportunity to present their written or visual art to the local community.
Scholarships: The PTA donates over $250 to support the Schaumburg Township Council of PTAs scholarship fund, which provides scholarships to high school graduates who attended District 54 elementary schools. The fund also offers a scholarship grant for summer programs to elementary students.
School Apparel: The children and faculty enjoy sporting T shirts and sweatshirts with the Link School name or logo. Show your school spirit by sending your child to school in Link apparel. Every Friday is school spirit day! Click here for an order form.
School Directory: Each family receives a directory containing school and PTA information, including phone numbers, room representatives, committees and other general information.
School Photos: Send your child to school with a smile on September 25th and preserve their childhood memories.
School Supply Kits: Avoid the back to school shopping rush and preorder school supply kits. Kits can be picked up at School of Information Day in August.
Science Fair: Let your young Einstein display and develop his or her talents with the Link School community in a fun atmosphere. The Science Fair is scheduled for a date to be determined throughout the school day and from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Sixth Grade Activities: The PTA supports end of year activities for our sixth graders, including end of year party, T-shirts, and yearbook signing party.
Treat Days: Treat days are generally offered the first Friday of every month. Children are given an opportunity to purchase treats such as ice cream sandwiches or doughnuts for $0.50. A free treat day in honor of Adolph Link's birthday will take place in February.
